Durante o discurso de boas-vindas na celebração do 41º Aniversário da Vitória da Revolução Islâmica e da Data Nacional iraniana, o Embaixador, Sr. Seyed Ali Saghaeyan, destacou a consolidação da base do sistema de governo iraniano, que perdura há quatro décadas, garantida com esforço e o trabalho de jovens talentosos. Além disso, o país também avançou notadamente nas áreas econômicas, industriais, tecnológicas e científica.
Um dos grandes objetivos da República Islâmica do Irã, segundo o Embaixador Seyed Ali Saghaeyan, é usufruir dos seus altos potenciais nacionais e garantir oportunidades e experiências através das relações recíprocas com outros países. A relação com o Brasil, em especial, que possui 117 anos de história, é baseada no respeito mútuo e nos interesses recíprocos.
O Irã é um dos principais clientes de produtos agrícolas do Brasil: carne bovina, milho, soja, entre outros oleígenos. O volume comercial entre os dois países aumentou de US$ 400 milhões de dólares nos anos 90 para mais de US$ 3 bilhões em 2019. Seyed espera que as relações entre os dois países continuem harmônicas. Ademais, na política externa o Irã espera preservar e desenvolver relações conjuntas com países vizinhos, países amigos e potências regionais em diferentes áreas.
Em relação aos embargos sofridos unilateralmente pelos Estados Unidos com a saída do acordo internacional sobre o programa nuclear iraniano, o Embaixador Seyed afirmou que a República Islâmica do Irã voltará a cumprir os compromissos assim que os embargos forem cessados e os interesses iranianos garantidos.

Regarding the embargoes suffered unilaterally by the United States with the withdrawal of the international agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, Ambassador Seyed said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will return to fulfill its commitments as soon as the embargoes are lifted and Iranian interests are guaranteed.
